Axolotl are actually not fish, they are amphibians in the Salamander family. However, they look exactly like fish with slender bodies and fins. I have never raised Axolotl but I hear that they make excellent pets. Interestingly, axolotl being an amphibian is never recommended for beginners. I have been fascinated with these creatures because of their regeneration power. They are capable of regenerating all kinds of body parts.
